Is 2600 m the recognition or shooting distance?

No. It is the manufacturer-specified detection distance for a heat source measuring approximately 1.7 × 0.5 m. Reliable recognition, identification and shooting distances are considerably shorter and depend on weather, target size, background, magnification and the user’s experience.

How far can the laser rangefinder measure?
