Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Houston K 365XL suitable for the standard SIG Sauer P365 model?

The manufacturer lists different holster variants for the standard P365 and P365 XL. Therefore, it is recommended to choose the variant that exactly matches your pistol model and not to assume full compatibility of the K 365XL with the standard P365.

Is the holster suitable for the P365 XMacro model?

No. The P365 XMacro differs from the P365 XL in grip module and overall configuration. You need to choose a holster specifically marked for the XMacro model.

Is the holster suitable for right-handed users?

No. The K 365XL (LH) is a left-handed variant. For right-handed draw, you need to choose the right-handed (RH) version of the same model.

Is the retention adjustable?

Yes. The holster's retention is adjustable. The setting should hold the pistol securely while allowing controlled and smooth draw.

Is the holster suitable for a P365 XL with an optical sight?

The manufacturer does not indicate the presence of an optic cut for this variant. Even if the P365 XL slide is ready for an optic, you should separately check the fit between the mounted red dot sight and the holster edge.

Is the holster suitable for a pistol with a weapon light or laser?

The manufacturer does not specify the K 365XL variant for use with a weapon light or laser. For a pistol with such an accessory, you need to choose a holster made for that specific weapon and accessory combination.

Is the holster suitable for a P365 XL with a manual safety?

The manufacturer does not differentiate between manual safety and non-safety configurations for this variant. If your pistol has a manual safety, check with an unloaded weapon that the holster does not press on the safety or impede its movement.

What is the purpose of the holster's inner lining?

The soft suede-like inner lining reduces direct friction between the pistol's surface and the rigid Kydex body. This does not completely eliminate wear marks, as dust and sand entering the holster can also scratch the surface.

When is the Houston K 365XL the right choice?

This holster is suitable for a left-handed user with a standard configuration SIG Sauer P365 XL who is looking for a rigid holster to be worn inside the waistband. The Kydex body retains its shape, the adjustable retention allows you to customize the hold, and the soft inner lining helps protect the pistol's finish.

If you use a standard P365, P365 XMacro, or a P365 XL with size-altering accessories, you must choose a holster confirmed for that exact configuration. Right-handed users need the RH version.

Expert recommendation

Always check holster compatibility with a completely unloaded pistol. The pistol should fit evenly in the holster, the trigger guard should be protected, and no controls should be under pressure from the holster. Practice drawing first only with an unloaded weapon and make sure clothing does not enter the trigger guard when holstering.

Adjust retention so that the pistol stays secure during normal movement but can be drawn with controlled force. Regularly check the tightness of the belt clip and retention screws, and clean the inside of the holster from abrasive dirt.
