Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the barrel of the Beretta BRX1 Strata?

The barrel length is 570 mm, or approximately 22.4 inches. This offers a balance between ballistic performance and handling for the .308 Winchester caliber in hunting use.

How does the BRX1 Strata differ from the standard black BRX1 model?

The Strata model features a synthetic stock with camouflage, and the barrel and aluminum receiver are finished with Cerakote. The standard black model uses black anodizing or blued finish on metal parts, depending on the configuration.

What is the advantage of the Cerakote finish?

Cerakote helps protect metal surfaces from moisture, wear, and corrosion. The protective layer does not make the rifle maintenance-free; after use in rain, snow, or humid environments, the rifle should still be cleaned and dried.

Is the Beretta BRX1 Strata suitable for left-handed shooters?

Yes. The bolt handle and ejection direction can be configured for right- or left-handed use. When converting, follow the manufacturer's instructions or consult a qualified gunsmith.

Can a suppressor be mounted on the rifle?

Yes. The barrel has an M14×1 thread at the muzzle. The suppressor or other muzzle device must fit this thread and .308 Win caliber precisely and be approved by the manufacturer for such use.

How many rounds does the magazine hold?

The included detachable magazine holds five .308 Winchester cartridges. The high-visibility orange polymer makes it easier to spot a removed magazine in the field or among gear.

Is an optical sight included?

No. The rifle comes with a Picatinny rail, but the optical sight and suitable mounts must be selected separately.

What does the three-position safety allow?

The safety positions allow for a ready-to-fire state, bolt cycling with the trigger locked, and complete locking of the trigger and bolt. Learn the exact operation according to the manufacturer's manual before handling the rifle.

Can the BRX1 barrel be changed?

Yes. The BRX1 is a modular system that allows the use of suitable barrel and bolt component sets. When changing caliber, ensure compatibility between the barrel, bolt head, and magazine.

What requirements apply to purchasing the rifle?

The Beretta BRX1 Strata is a restricted civilian firearm. Purchase and transfer are subject to current firearms legislation, the appropriate acquisition permit, and Jahipaun's instructions.

When is the Beretta BRX1 Strata .308 Win the right choice?

This configuration is suitable for hunters who want a fast-cycling, weather-resistant, and ambidextrous hunting rifle. The .308 Winchester caliber and 570 mm barrel provide a versatile solution for hunting in both forested and open terrain.

If your primary use is in dense forests, driven hunts with a suppressor, or frequent transport in vehicles, the BRX1 with a 510 mm barrel may be more compact. If the rifle is mainly used for long-range shooting, consider a model with a heavier barrel or a stock and optics designed for precision shooting.

Recommendations

We recommend adjusting the stock length of pull with your typical hunting clothing before choosing optics. Then select the mount height so that your cheek naturally rests on the stock and the full field of view of the sight is visible without lifting your head. As there are no open sights, a properly installed optical sight is necessary for practical use of the rifle.

Fast operation of the straight-pull bolt requires practice. Perform handling drills with an unloaded rifle according to the manufacturer's instructions to make bolt cycling, safety operation, and magazine release smooth. Always physically and visually check that the chamber and magazine are empty before maintenance.

Try several .308 Win cartridges with different designs and bullet weights at the range. Different rifles may produce varying accuracy with the same caliber ammunition. After mounting a suppressor or other muzzle device, check its alignment and confirm the point of impact again at a proper shooting range.

Fast hunting rifle with weather-resistant finish

The Beretta BRX1 Strata .308 Win combines a 570 mm cold-hammer-forged barrel, straight-pull bolt, Cerakote finish, and a synthetic stock with Strata camouflage. It is a practical choice for hunters who value fast cycling, adjustable ergonomics, and the versatile .308 Winchester caliber.
