Frequently Asked Questions

Which calibers is the kit suitable for?

The kit is intended for .357, .38, and 9 mm handguns. Before use, check your firearm’s caliber marking and select the appropriate brush and jag.

Are cleaning solvent and oil included?

Yes. The kit contains 15 ml of BCT Military-Grade Solvent and 12 ml of Battle Born High-Purity Oil.

Is the kit suitable for everyday carrying?

The 18 × 9.5 cm case is compact and fits in a range bag. For frequent home maintenance, it is recommended to purchase larger bottles of cleaning solvent and oil.

In which direction should the barrel be cleaned?

If the firearm’s construction allows, clean from the chamber toward the muzzle. When disassembling a pistol or cleaning a revolver, always follow the specific model’s user manual.

When is the BCT Vision Series handgun kit the right choice?

This kit is suitable for owners of .357, .38, or 9 mm firearms who want rods, a brush, patches, and maintenance chemicals in one organized case.

If you only need a quick barrel clean at the range, the Battle Rope is more convenient. For firearms in multiple calibers, consider a universal cleaning kit.

Recommendations

Always start by removing the magazine and checking the chamber. Only disassemble the firearm as much as described in the manufacturer’s instructions. Apply cleaning solvent to the brush or patch, treat the barrel, and remove dissolved residue with clean patches. Do not force the brush or jag through the barrel if the size or thread does not match.

Once the parts are clean and dry, apply a very small amount of the included gun oil to moving contact surfaces. Avoid over-oiling and never leave oil in the chamber. After maintenance, ensure the firearm is properly reassembled and all tools are dry in the case. Larger bottles of cleaning solvent and oil are recommended if the firearm is used regularly.

All essential tools in one compact case

The BCT Vision Series kit provides owners of .357, .38, and 9 mm handguns with an organized solution for cleaning the barrel and post-maintenance lubrication. The included chemicals allow you to start maintenance right away.
