No. The manufacturer states that Perma Blue Liquid will not blue stainless steel, aluminium or non-ferrous metals. It is intended for conventional blueable steel surfaces.

Remove rust and damaged old finish, then degrease the steel thoroughly. Do not touch the prepared metal with bare fingers after the final cleaning. Apply Perma Blue quickly with a clean applicator in a thin, even coat. Allow it to react for 30–60 seconds, but never longer than one minute, then rinse immediately and thoroughly with cold water and dry the component.

For a darker finish, repeat the cleaning and bluing process in several controlled applications. The surface may be blended very lightly with fine steel wool between treatments, but it must be degreased again afterwards. Once the desired colour is achieved, apply Barricade or a suitable firearm oil and allow the finish to stabilize overnight.
