Frequently Asked Questions

Does the cover fit exactly on a 45-liter backpack?

Yes, the cover is designed for backpacks up to 45 liters. Bulky gear attached to the exterior may affect the fit.

Does the rain cover make the backpack completely waterproof?

The cover protects the outer surface of the backpack but does not fully seal the back side. Moisture-sensitive items should be packed in waterproof inner bags.

Can the cover be used with a smaller backpack?

Generally yes, but on a very small backpack the cover may be loose and can shift in strong winds.

When is the Snugpak Aquacover 45 l the right choice?

This model fits 30–45 liter day or weekend backpacks. For larger backpacks or those with bulky gear attached to the exterior, choose the 70-liter Aquacover.

Recommendation

We recommend keeping the Aquacover in a quickly accessible pocket of your backpack so it can be installed before heavy rain starts. After installation, check that the elastic edge fits securely around the pack and is not caught on the shoulder straps or hip belt.

Dry the cover thoroughly before storage. Even when using the rain cover, pack electronics, spare clothing, and sleeping gear separately in Dri-Sak type waterproof bags.
