Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Fresh Earth and Odorless variants?

Fresh Earth helps neutralize unwanted odors and leaves a cover scent reminiscent of fresh earth on your gear. Odorless is more suitable for users who want scent control without any deliberately added scent profile.

Where should Scent-A-Way MAX Fresh Earth spray be applied?

This product is primarily intended for treating hunting clothes, the exterior of boots, backpacks, and other hunting gear. Spray evenly and always follow the usage instructions on the bottle and the material care label.

Can the spray be used directly on skin?

Do not apply the product to skin, face, or hair unless the package instructions clearly allow it. Avoid contact with eyes and mouth, and use odor control products specifically designed for skin care.

Does the Fresh Earth spray make the hunter completely scentless to animals?

No. No spray guarantees the complete elimination of human scent. Effective scent control also involves washing clothes, using clean gear, pre-hunt hygiene practices, and moving with regard to prevailing wind direction.

How long does the scent elimination spray work?

The manufacturer does not provide a specific duration of effect in hours for this variant. The need to reapply depends on sweating, rain, movement, temperature, and the material treated.

Does Scent-A-Way MAX Fresh Earth repel mosquitoes and ticks?

No. This is a scent eliminator and cover scent, not a mosquito or tick repellent. Use separate repellents intended for insects according to their instructions for use.

When is Scent-A-Way MAX Fresh Earth the right choice?

Fresh Earth is suitable for hunters who want to reduce human odor and add an earthy cover scent reminiscent of the forest floor to their clothing and gear. It is a practical choice for stand hunting on the ground, moving in forested environments, or treating gear right before entering the hunting area.

The Odorless variant may be a better choice in open landscapes, on various types of hunting grounds, or if you prefer completely neutral scent control. For hunting very scent-sensitive game, the best results come from a comprehensive system: fragrance-free body care, properly washed and stored clothes, clean gear, outdoor spray, and attention to wind direction.

Expert recommendation

It is best to use Scent-A-Way MAX Fresh Earth as the final step, not as the only scent control measure. Wash hunting clothes beforehand with fragrance-free detergent, dry them away from foreign odors, and store in a sealed bag. Spray the exterior of clothing, boots, and gear before heading out to hunt. Pay special attention to the back, underarms, pant legs, and footwear, where sweat or ground scent accumulates most.

For first-time use, test the product on a small hidden area, especially on membrane fabrics, leather, or specially finished materials. Do not saturate clothing with liquid, and allow treated surfaces to dry before use. After rain, heavy sweating, or extended movement, reapplication may be necessary.

Fresh Earth does not replace monitoring wind direction. Whenever possible, move so that your scent does not drift toward the animal’s expected location or path.
