Frequently Asked Questions

Which Glock model is this maintenance mat suitable for?

The mat features a printed diagram of Glock Gen5 components. It can also be used as a physical work surface for other handguns, but the diagram details may not correspond to earlier Glock generations or models from other manufacturers.

Does the mat withstand gun oil and cleaning solvents?

Yes. The mat is designed to handle the oils, water, and cleaning agents typically used in gun maintenance. For strong or unfamiliar chemicals, it's best to test on a small hidden area of the mat first.

How do I clean a TekMat maintenance mat?

You can clean the mat with a soft brush, mild soapy water, and clean water. Allow the mat to air dry completely in a flat position before rolling it up. Avoid strong bleaches and direct heat.

Does the printed Glock Gen5 diagram replace the user manual?

No. The diagram helps identify parts and organize your workspace, but for disassembly, assembly, and maintenance, always follow the official user manual for your specific Glock model.

When is TekMat Glock Gen5 the right choice?

This maintenance mat is a suitable choice for Glock Gen5 owners who want to protect their firearm and work surface, and keep removed parts visible during maintenance. The model-specific diagram is useful for checking part names, while the 28 × 43 cm surface accommodates the handgun with standard cleaning supplies.

If you need a mat for maintaining long guns or wish to place more tools on the work surface at once, choose a larger rifle or universal mat. For those who prefer thicker padding and a larger work area, the TekMat Ultra series mat is a better fit.

Expert tip

Before starting maintenance, remove the magazine and ensure by visual and physical inspection that the chamber is empty. Keep all ammunition separate from the work area. Place removed parts on the mat in the order of disassembly and use a separate shallow container for small pins or springs—the smooth mat surface does not prevent very small parts from rolling.

Apply cleaning agent first to a cloth or brush, not directly to the mat. This prevents excess liquid and makes cleaning the work surface easier afterward. The printed diagram on the mat is a useful visual aid, but does not replace the official manual for your firearm model or the advice of a qualified gunsmith.

After finishing your work, wipe the mat clean and allow it to dry completely. For storage, roll the mat with the printed side outward. Do not fold or place heavy objects on it for extended periods, as this may leave permanent marks on the rubber base.

Practical work surface for Glock Gen5 maintenance

The TekMat Glock Gen5 maintenance mat combines a soft, gun-friendly surface, a non-slip rubber base, and a model-specific parts diagram. This helps make Glock cleaning more organized and protects your work surface from oil, dirt, and scratches.
