Frequently Asked Questions

Do the wipes replace hand washing?

No. They are useful for quick cleaning when water is not available, but hands should be thoroughly washed with soap and water at the first opportunity.

Can the wipes be used for cleaning gun barrels?

They are primarily intended for hands and surfaces, not as a replacement for caliber-specific barrel cleaning patches.

Can the cleaning wipes be flushed down the toilet?

No. Used wipes should be disposed of with household waste or handled according to shooting range and local waste disposal guidelines.

Are the wipes fragrance- and dye-free?

The manufacturer states that the formula contains no dyes, petrochemical substances, or sodium lauryl sulfate. If you have sensitive skin, follow the instructions on the package and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

When are BCT cleaning wipes the right choice?

These wipes are best suited for initial cleaning at the shooting range, while hunting, or during firearm maintenance, when lead and heavy metal particles may get on your hands or work surfaces.

For everyday dirt, a regular cleaning wipe is sufficient. For thorough personal hygiene, use soap and running water in addition to BCT wipes.

Recommendation

Keep the package in your shooting range bag and use a wipe immediately after shooting or cleaning your firearm. Carefully wipe your fingers, around the nails, palms, and any other contaminated skin areas. Use a separate wipe to clean tables, tool handles, and other frequently touched surfaces.

Do not use the same wipe consecutively on hands and heavily contaminated work surfaces. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and damaged skin, and wash hands with soap and water as soon as possible, especially before eating, drinking, or smoking. Used wipes are not flushable. Always close the package tightly after use to prevent the remaining wipes from drying out.

Practical cleanliness at the shooting range and maintenance table

BCT Lead & Heavy Metal Removal Wipes help reduce the transfer of lead and heavy metal residues from hands to clothing, vehicles, or home. The 50-wipe package is suitable for both regular shooters and the firearm maintenance room.
