Frequently Asked Questions

Does Military-Grade Solvent also lubricate the firearm?

No. This is a cleaning and degreasing agent. After cleaning, all necessary surfaces should be re-oiled or lubricated according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Does it leave any residue on the surface?

According to the manufacturer, the solvent evaporates without leaving residue. However, before oiling, make sure the cleaned part is completely dry.

Is the product suitable for polymer and Cerakote?

The manufacturer describes it as suitable for wood, plastic, polymer, Cerakote, and hydro-dipped surfaces. For unknown or damaged finishes, test the product first on a hidden area.

What safety requirements apply?

Use in a well-ventilated area, keep away from heat and open flame, and wear protective gloves and eye protection. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting; instead, contact a poison control center or doctor immediately.

When is the Military-Grade Solvent 473 ml the right choice?

The 473 ml package is suitable for users who regularly clean multiple firearms or need a solvent in a workshop or shooting range. It is a general-purpose agent for removing oil, grease, and typical carbon residue.

For less frequent cleaning of individual firearms or for outdoor kits, the more compact 177 ml bottle is suitable. For very heavy carbon and lead deposits, consider using Carbon Pro.

We recommend

Always use the solvent on an unloaded and made-safe firearm. First spray the product onto a cleaning cloth or brush to avoid excessive solvent getting into the trigger mechanism, wood joints, or optics. After removing dirt, allow the parts to dry completely.

Military-Grade Solvent removes the protective oil layer along with the dirt, so all necessary metal surfaces should be re-oiled after cleaning. Store the bottle upright, in a cool and well-ventilated place, away from ignition sources and out of reach of children.

Large package for regular firearm maintenance

Breakthrough Military-Grade Solvent 473 ml combines effective degreasing, low odor, and residue-free evaporation. The large spray bottle is a practical choice for frequent gun cleaning.
